Описание: Hey You Tube Family we are back with another build video on our Arctic Acres Passive heating Geodesic Greenhouse Build. We are building a 26' Geo Dome for our 4 acre homestead to supply our family with fresh vegetables, Herbs and fruit year around. We live in central North Alberta in a Zone 3 Climate; so our summers are short and our winters are long and can be quite harsh at times with temperatures dipping to -50 with wind chills. With our ever changing world and the food scarcity shortages, inconstancies in product, rising prices and of course the rise in food borne illnesses, we are striving to be more self sufficient and rely on the land we have. Today we are building the pond for tilapia for fresh meet and aquaponics for growing food! We show you our natural native prairie land and our food forest and take a quick trip down memory lane and before and after we build our homestead and how far we have come.
Homesteading in Alberta is a challenge with 5 -7 months of cold weather. Garden landscaping takes time and effort but we strive to have Wild flowers on our property that grow in abundance and are ripe for the picking. native plants surround our acreage and are amazing for pollinators.
