A sweet confection that is crunchy on the outside but chewy on the inside. Kikay loves these with chocolate chips, while I prefer them plain :)
INGREDIENTS:
3 egg whites
3/4 cup sugar
1/8 tsp cream of tartar
1/8 tsp salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
OPTIONAL INGREDIENT: 1/2 to 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips and/or chopped walnuts or pecans
OVEN TEMPERATURE: 250 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT
these comes out crisp on the outside but chewy on the inside (I love eating this the next day after baking) IF YOU WANT THESE CRUNCHY INSIDE AND OUT, BEAT THEM UNTIL STIFF PEAKS FORM :)
