Sigma has released a new lens in their I-series: The Sigma 50mm f/2 DG DN. The I-series of lenses prioritize the photographer’s experience. You can call this form over function, and that’s fine by me, because these lenses feel SO amazing in the hands.
Tony Northrup tests the lens for sharpness, contrast, bokeh, starburst, and video autofocus. It doesn’t ace all of the tests - many of you will be happier with one of the less expensive lenses Tony suggests.
