Bridger Bowl has great snow, nice folks and a laid-back atmosphere. What a super place for little kids (big kids, too) to learn to ski. And there are lots of incredible skiers blasting down ridgelines into the bowls below. Bozeman, home to Montana State University, is the nearest large town.

Historically, mining and ranching began in the mid-1800s as settlers moved into the area and displaced the native Shoshone, Nez Perce, Blackfeet, Flathead, Crow Nation and Sioux people. This area is beautiful.
