Indian frontline indices ended flat last session amid higher volatility due to the presentation of the Union Budget. The Union Budget laid focus on consumption driven measures as it surprisingly announced no income taxes up to Rs 12 lakh. As a result, FMCG, auto, and tourism stocks drove the market rally ahead. This morning global cues were largely lower. Asian markets started the morning on a weak note after US President Donald Trump imposed 25 percent tariffs on Canada, Mexico and 10 percent tariffs on imports from China. Dow futures too dropped over 450 points overnight as treasury yields inched up above 4.5 percent and dollar index strengthened above 109. Among stocks, watch out for FMCG, Coal India, and GR Infraprojects in today's trading session.
