Don't Forget Breakdancing is a Dance so musicality is super important. A Bboy can win a battle with musicality alone over some of the best power moves that has no musicality. Unique counts as he is teaching this step so make sure you pay attention to that.

The Music counts are 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 and the second version is 1 & 2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6, 7 & 8. Version one is for a more chill song that you just want to groove to, while the second version hits faster beats. Have fun and notice how he plays with both music count version with the same beat to add some versatility to your top rockin.

When you practice any new move, don't rush it and take it slow. Remember muscle memory is a huge part in dance. Also try practicing to slow beats at first and gradually working your way up to a faster beat. I normally will practice dance moves as if they were sets in working out, for example The side step variation can be done in sets of 40, so I would do 5 - 10 sets of 40 which gives you 20 for your left side and 20 on your right side. Each set I will try different hand movements and play with pausing and turning, moving forwards and backwards. Doing this will make you a pro in any movement. :)
