The Fortecx Continuous Phase Separation Process (FCPSP) is making significant strides. Following the impressive operational performance of the prototype facility, Fortecx’s legal team is in the final stages of filing a multi-patent application. These patents will safeguard the unique chemical and physical complexities of the FCPSP’s innovative multi-module system.
The success of the prototype has paved the way for the first independent, full-scale operational facility. Compactly designed to fit within a 20-foot standard shipping container, this facility marks a major milestone—it will be the first third-party franchised business of its kind.
Research and development remain at the forefront. Engineers have introduced an impactful enhancement to the Gunbarrel module, also known as the settlement tank. This minor yet effective modification has further improved operational efficiency, increasing stability and enhancing the continuous production flow rate.
As this video demonstrates, the system now operates 24/7, delivering high-quality oil recovery at a rate of 1 litre every 7 seconds—over 12,000 litres per day. This latest design improvement is being integrated into the ongoing patent application and will be incorporated into the full-scale facility, where the upgraded Gunbarrel module boasts more than three times the capacity of the prototype.
