The phrase Nam(u) myōhō renge kyō (南無妙法蓮華経) is the invocation or, in Japanese, daimoku (題目, cin. tímù, title) or ōdaimoku[1] (翁題目, where "Ō", 翁, Chinese: Wēng, is the honorific character, also rendering the Sanskrit pitā-maha, "great father"), referring to the title of the "Lotus Sutra of the Mystic Law[2]".
