Most animals know exactly what to do when it’s time to give birth, and goats are no exception. In this video, you’ll see a doe instinctively and calmly deliver her kid without any assistance.
As a veterinarian, I’m always ready to help if things don’t go as planned whether that means administering pain medication, helping pull a baby, or even performing a C-section. But in this case, I just got to observe and appreciate nature doing what it does best.
It’s always incredible to witness birth when everything goes smoothly, and I’m thankful to be there just in case it doesn’t.
