John Sturino is an award-winning composer-arranger and drummer based in New York City. He leads BLOW GLOBE, a chamber-sized wind ensemble that earned the Chamber Music America New Jazz Works Grant (2024) and released its debut album BLOW GLOBE in 2025. His composition A Boundless Design received the David Baker Prize, blending jazz and classical string quartet traditions.
As a performer and collaborator, John has worked with ensembles including the Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band, Miho Hazama’s m_unit, and the Jihye Lee Jazz Orchestra, alongside arranging and writing for large ensembles internationally.
