In this interview, Michael Stehmann, a self-employed lawyer in Germany, talks about his use of GnuPG ("as a matter of principle, all the emails that I send are signed using GnuPG."), attorney-client privilege (even though many of his clients don't think the details of their case are somehow interesting, he believes that lawyers have an obligation to protect their communication), phishing (lawyers should at least sign their messages so that their clients have the possibility to check whether the mail is authentic), the consequences of mass surveillance (it changes the way people behave) and whether laws forbidding spying and forging are enough (no).
