Philip Jones Memorial Concert, Part 1 of 6. A concert which was given in January 2001 and broadcast on BBC Radio 3 on 21st January 2001.
Part 1 includes an introduction by Elgar Howarth. The presenter is Anthony Burton. The music is played by the Quintet In Honorium Philip Jones, convened for the occasion, consisting of Rod Franks and James Watson (trumpets), David Pyatt (horn), Roger Harvey (trombone) and James Gourlay (tuba). Music by Richard Dering, William Brade, Thomas Tomkins and Hugh Aston arranged by Elgar Howarth.
