Hey everybody. Adam here, with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the buyers products flat plate trailer coupler. This thing's gonna be made of cast steel. So it's gonna be extra, extra strong and this is gonna have a 2-5/16 inch ball. You wanna make sure that the coupler is gonna match the ball on your trailer.

'Cause if it doesn't, it's not gonna work. So just make sure to do that. If you don't have some, we got some for you here at etrailer. One thing I think is real neat about this is it comes with a pin so you don't have to buy one separate, you go like this. But another thing about it, it's connected.

So I lose things all the time. When there's a cable connecting it, I'm not gonna lose it. So when you take this out, you don't have to lift this up. It's gonna be an auto latch feature, which is also pretty neat. There are some other auto latching feature or couplers that we have the easy latch, but that's just, it's just a little plastic piece.

I don't know. This is made of Cast steel. It's a lot more rugged and heavy duty than the other one. But as you lower it down, it's gonna push up and then we're good to go. I like that because it's just gonna give us one less step to hook up and then once we're done, obviously we connect our pin, but I really like that.

One thing, of course, you're gonna need with the coupler is the ball. So you wanna make sure to grab one that's gonna be just as VP as this if you plan on maxing this out, 'cause it does have a capacity of 18,000 pounds. So make sure that the ball nut that you're using and the ball is the right size and is rated the same or at least more. You just don't wanna limit your setup from the get go. In my opinion, this is definitely an upgrade from some of the easy latch couplers that you can have just because it's just more beefy. I love beef. I like when it's nice and heavy duty, especially on a big trailer like this, you wanna get the right stuff. And I think this is gonna be better than the other options that we have over on our website if you're looking for the quick easy latch couplers. When mounting this up, we are gonna have to source our own hardware and one measurement I want you guys to take before you order this is just on the flat plate of your trailer, just make sure it's gonna line up. So it's four and a half by four and a half. So just make sure it's gonna be the right size for you. It's pretty standard, but the diameter of the holes that we're gonna have to grab our own hardware for is 5/8 of an inch. So just make sure and grab the right size hardware that goes all the way through, but whatever you do plan on using what you want to do is you want to have a lock washer on the back and then a nut, just add that on. But we're not gonna really tighten these down all the way. I just like to get it going and then we can do the rest of our bolts.
