This is a rendition of Tiruvarur Ramaswami Pillai's masterpiece in pUrvi kalyANi rAga that was rendered during a concert in Stanford University in January 2026. The swara sahitya sequence in this composition is replete with swarAksharams and is very special. Pranams to the legendary Smt. T Brinda and other members of the Veena Dhanammal family for bringing this beauty to light.
On the violin is Shiva Ramamurthi (who has learned this composition), on the mridangam is Vignesh Venkatraman, and on the tambura is Arthi Suresh.
