In this short video, I take you to the Mapocho River, which flows from the Andes Mountains through the heart of Santiago, Chile. Though it often appears dry, this channel plays a vital role in protecting the city from flooding during heavy rains. I share a brief history—including a nod to the 1986 flood—and invite you to imagine the river at full force.
