This is a powerful tribute to the late actor and my longtime inspiration Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Filmmaker Caleb Slain dedicated over 200 hours of his creative lifespan to put together a 21-minute "post-script journey through Philip Seymour Hoffman's lifetime in cinema", breaking down 47 of Hoffman's films, with an on-point soundscape by some of Jon Brion's finest scores (plus one extra from The Stooges).
Since its inception in 2014, this masterpiece has spoken to me so profoundly that I have to recirculate it on YouTube. If you're curious about Caleb's other poetry in motion, please check out his Vimeo.
