Hello and welcome, to Conquer Crochet. I've been asking you guys on social media to tell me what you would like to see videos about and this video is in response to quite a lot of requests. There are 2 types of crochet patterns - the diagram version and the written version. This tutorial shows you how to read the written version of a crochet pattern and I talk you through some of the most common elements and abbreviations that designers use in their work.

Let me know if you would like me to make a video about how to read diagram patterns and I'll do my best to accommodate.

Please note - this is not a video showing you how to crochet different stitches but one where I show you how certain abbreviations are read and created in crochet patterns.
