TDS rates are divided based on resident and non-resident payments. In the case of salaries, the TDS rates are based on the income slab rates. In the case of other payments, there are specific sections governing the TDS rates for residents and non-residents. Due to COVID-19, the TDS rates on certain resident payments stands reduced to 75% of the normal rates from 14/05/20 until 31/03/21.
