The formula is as follows: (Room SQFT x 20) + (Equipment Watts x 3.14) + (Active People in the room x 400) = Size of the Portable A/C Unit necessary in BTU.

Following the result of BTU from the formula, make sure you consider growth over the next year and if you plan on removing any legacy equipment that might be energy guzzlers.
