Just Tell Her Jim Said Hello is one of those songs which although well made, produced and performed remains unremarkable in almost every way. It has a good story and melody and is a pleasant enough listen, but is miles way from being top notch material.
Elvis recorded the song on 19 March 1962, the second of a two day session at RCA studio B in Nashville. Seven songs had been recorded on the first day but this was the third of just four recorded on that second day. Of the eleven songs in total recorded over the sessions, only the final song, She’s Not You would be released as a single, with this song on the other side.
As with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you use ear /headphones and turn the volume up as much as you dare!
