Give the Marriage bill a decent political burial. These are the wishes of the people of Ajuri County in Alebtong District, according to their MP Denis Hamson Obua.
And it is a sentiment seemingly shared by other Ugandans from across the political, religious and tribal divides. Could the marriage and divorce bill, which weeks ago was on Parliament's agenda for debate, now be being pushed into the same abyss it has been cast into on previous occasions under different names? Against this backdrop President Yoweri Museveni has said he will not support a Bill that tramples on Human rights.
