In this talk, she talks about how Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP) interventions help to strengthen attachment and attunement, thereby helping the neurobiological development of the child. She sheds light on ways that would help new and often overwhelmed parents gain valuable insights into understanding the multitude of ways in which they could interact with their children. Rashi Bijlani Tandon is the Founder and President of Asha Hai, which is one of its kind projects for inclusive education for children with extra needs. As an accomplished Bharatnatyam dancer, her experience in the field of movement fosters her belief that dance and movement enhance the smooth interaction of the mind and body.
Rashi holds a double Masters degree in Dance Movement Psychotherapy and Clinical Psychology. Rashi conducts various workshops across schools, colleges, hospitals as well as Rehabilitation centers to familiarize people with the concept of Dance Movement Psychotherapy. She is the head consultant psychologist at the Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science and Research at their Child Development Clinic. She is currently closely associated with Shri Edu-Care limited and works as a consultant psychologist with The Shri-Ram Early years. She is the Founding Board Member and General Secretary of the Indian Association of Dance Movement Therapy. Rashi’s current area of work focuses on her new endeavour with depths of child parent psychotherapy - The Dancing Bond; a unique parent child program which focuses on how Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP) interventions help to strengthen attachment and attunement, thereby helping the neurobiological development of the child.
