Can an award-winning Aussie pie really beat a NZ pie?

Описание: We've heard plenty of Kiwis who moved across the ditch complain about the state of pies in Australia - sad, blonde crusts, hardly any meat - and while only a handful of particularly vocal Australians bother to vehemently argue against this notion we felt the need to give it a go so we could put in our two cents. Was it a mistake to give Australia the best fighting chance by visiting the best pie bakery in the country? Maybe. It sure didn't give us a good indication of what pies are like in Aussie, because these ones were good enough that they could almost be sold in New Zealand - save the weirdly gloopy gravy and the insulting lack of meat.
The fish amok didn't even count, because it's a store-specific specialty flavour. Country Cob should just open a Cambodian restaurant.
