A butterfly’s brain is extremely mathematical and it uses Moon to construct a bearing towards its destination. Well, we will see that this will cause the butterfly to travel along a logarithmic spiral if it confuses something else for the Moon.
In this video you will see how infinity and finiteness combine in one exciting curve- the logarithmic spiral.
A logarithmic spiral is defined as a curve whose tangent and radial line are intersecting at the same angle at any point on the curve. Using this, we form a differential equation and derive an equation of a logarithmic spiral in polar coordinates !
