Solar Farms Make Noise (and they're hiding it)

Описание: Episode 3 of Fireside Chats with Seth is about Solar Farms. Yes, we really get calls to go "listen to solar farms" and it sounds dumb when you say it out loud. Solar farms take in sun and make energy. They just sit there. They don't make noise! But... they do. Inverters, fans for cooling, even sometimes motors for angling the cells to follow sunlight can all make noise. And, the big question is - do we care? Is it loud enough to matter. And, again the answer is yes, it is. Now... there's some conspiracy theory stuff in here, too. What is that conspiracy? A rational analysis of some manufacturer behaviors tells us that they know their machines are noisy and they won't say how noisy they are. In fairness, their white papers indicate they know and are working on fixing their issues. We won't be naming that manufacturer here, by the way. The point is that seemingly inert things can and do make noise and their potential for interference with your home life or work life is real. We can and do measure these things.
