If your generator is hard to start, not running smooth or backfires, it may be time for a valve adjustment. Adjusting the valves on this Champion invert generator is very easy and only requires a 10mm wrench, 14mm wrench and a feeler gauge. This procedure is the same if you have a suitcase style generator but may require the removal of the side panels. This is a model 200914 open frame Champion generator which has easy access to the valve cover.
