The clergy, church elders of the Methodist Church together with their members storm the church offices to ouster Presiding Bishop Ntombura Mwaine who they alleged has extended his tenure.
They declared Bishop Mwaine a persona non grata in the church premises until he's summoned to hand over.
A transition committee led by retired bishop Lawi Imathiu was installed to oversee the annual conference and election of a new presiding bishop.
The committee was ordered to deliver a new bishop and complete transition before end of April 2023.
