"Come" - The Higher Value, Lower Value Treat Toss Game

Описание: A fun game to help proof your dog's recall!
The game will also provide mental and physical enrichment while increasing the bond that you share!

You will need two values of treat:
I use some venison and duck treats as my 'lower-value' treats. These are the treats that I toss out.
I use some chicken jerky as my 'higher-value' treats. These are the treats that I feed to my dog back with me, to reinforce the behaviour of coming when called.

How to Play:
Make sure your dog is ready.
Toss out a lower-value treat - "Get it!"
Wait for your dog to finish eating the treat.
Recall your dog - "Come!"
Mark with a "yes" or a happy "yay!" as your dog returns to you,
Feed a higher-value treat to your dog in the 'Front' position.
Rinse and repeat x 5
The game always ends with the dog back with you (not with a treat toss away).

Train-Test-Train:
If your dog gets 5 out of 5 (he or she happily and quickly comes when called) - PUSH. Make the game slightly more difficult. You can do this by playing the game facing a different direction or moving to a different location. Work your way through the different rooms in your house! Move to a quiet location outside, for example, your yard or garden. Practice in different locations while 'out and about'.
If your dog gets 3 or 4 out of 5 - STICK. Repeat the game in the same location.
If your dog only gets 1 or 2 out of 5 - DROP. You need to make the game easier.

Here are some suggestions for making the game a little easier:
Do not call your dog until they have finished eating the treat and already turned to look at you!
Move to a quieter location.
Increase your enthusiasm.
Crouch and open your arms big and wide.
Toss your treat out less distance.
Use a higher-value treat to reward back with you.
Still struggling? Please recondition your recall cue: Stand directly in front of your dog. Say “Come!” (or your chosen recall cue) and then feed a delicious treat. Repeat x 10. “Come” + treat, “Come” + treat, “Come” + treat, “Come” + treat, etc.
