Renault has finally launched the Triber in India at a starting price of Rs. 4.95 which goes all the way up to Rs. 6.49 lakh (all prices ex-showroom,India). The car will be available in 4 variants, RXE, RXL, RXT, RXZ. The Triber is essentially a sub-four meter MPV based on a modified version of the CMF-A platform which also spawns the Kwid, but the French carmaker claims to have upgraded it with as much as 90 per cent new components in a bid to make it more spacious and refined. The idea here is to come up with an alternative for buyers who want a more versatile product at the price of a hatchback.
The Triber is a seven-seater MPV with detachable mechanism for the last row seats which allows you to remove them completely and make way for more luggage. You get two individual seats in the third row so you can take just one when six are on board or both seats when fewer people are travelling. And the third row can also be used by adults for a short commute, thanks to the floor depth. The boot space is limited to 84 litres when all seats are in use while it can be expanded to 625 litres.

All New Renault Triber is a budget MPV from French company Renault. It is a 7-seater vehicle based on the Renault Kwid. The big USP of the Renault Triber is that it will get detachable third-row seats which can be taken out to optimise the cargo space. It will have manual folding and unlatching operation that would be simple for most people to carry out. The Renault Triber is based on a slightly modified version of the CMF-A platform which underpins a range of Renault and Nissan products including the Kwid and Datsun Redi-Go. Renault India has confirmed that the upcoming offering will be positioned in India between the Kwid and the Duster. The upcoming Renault Triber will be a compact car; similar to the Datsun GO+, but it will not be a sub-4 metre vehicle like the latter. Having said that, the Triber is also expected to be a lot more rigid, offering improved crash capacity and more safety features to make it compliant with the stringent safety norms that will be regulated from October 2019. This also means that features like ABS with EBD, dual-airbags standard, rear parking sensor, driver seatbelt reminder, and speed alert will be offered as standard fitment. The Renault Triber will also be offered in a wide variety of variants meaning the pricing of the lower variants will be aggressive and the top trims will be loaded with features.

The new Renault Triber will also come with a newly designed dashboard with two-tone black and beige treatment with a silver panel around the trapezoidal air-con vents. The car will also get a large centre touchscreen display for infotainment, which could come with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Renault had earlier mentioned that the new Triber will also come with a spacious cabin.

The Renault Triber MPV will be all about the flexibility. So it will get a segment-first removable third-row seat. The car will have an easily removable third row that is expected to have a manual folding and unlatching operation that would be simple for most people to carry out easily. This will allow for the modularity aspect. You could opt for seating space for 7 passengers or a larger amount of boot volume for more cargo space, as you require.
