In comparison, Urdu nazm rather its modern version is a recent phenomenon, so much so that not only non-Urdu circles but the majority of the Urdu-knowing folk seem innocent of its singular charm and exuberance. Nazm Hai Shart is a humble endeavour to draw attention to the significance of jadeed Urdu nazm.
The ladka in this nazm is a metaphor for human conscience .
