Modern Ulm also encompasses Ulm Science City, hidden away up on one of the Ulm Hills. It has now advanced to become the biggest employer in the city, and is Ulm's answer to the challenges that arose in the late 20th century. The future is being shaped here -- slowly, surely and systematically. From 1985 onwards, a diverse research landscape and a Science Park were gradually established
around the University, focusing on medicine, electrochemistry, communications technology and intelligent mobility. Four clinics up on the Oberer Eselsberg now deliver allround medical care and more besides. The film provides expert insights and also features impressive aerial shots.
