Structure Fire | 7-8-2023 | Cary, NC

Описание: Residential structure fire at 602 SE Maynard Road on July 8th, 2023. Dispatched at 5:27pm, arriving crews found a working fire in the attic with smoke showing. The road was quickly shut down to lay the supply line across from the hydrant. Fire attack made entry and confirmed fire in the attic, quickly putting the fire out.
This fire was the third in a row of four consecutive structure fires in the area caused by lightning strikes. I was on the way to one of the prior fires when this one went out. Cary quickly went into storm dispatch mode due to the fires to keep more units in service until the fire scenes clear up.
There were no injuries due to this fire, however, 3 adults and a child were displaced and relayed to the Red Cross.
