Since that is a question I get asked almost daily, I wanted to give you an inside look at each district so you can decide for yourself which one might be the best fit for you.

Weatherford ISD Stats:
8,000 Students Overall
11 schools
7 Elementaries
2 Middle Schools
9th Grade Center
High School
Student to teacher ratio is 14:1 (lower than TX average of 22:1)

Mascot: Weatherford Kangaroos
School spirit colors of Roo blue and white.

PROGRAMS:

Sports
From football, baseball, cheer and dance to golf, tennis + power lifting. SEVERAL of which have stellar season records and championship trophies.

Dual Credit
Dual Credit programs with Weatherford College for high schoolers looking to get a few credits under their belt before starting college careers.

Special Education Programs

High School:
2300 Students in HS and classified as division 6A
Same category as schools such as Southlake, Rockwall, Prosper, Martin
Student count is about 500 per grade in K-12

What I love and what makes it different -
Campus - reflects the atmosphere of Weatherford large and beautiful with top notch facilities, but also a country, casual feel.
Every local or staff member I have talked to here has had nothing but positive feedback. Given it has one HS campus and the same Mascot across the entire district, it has a way of bringing the community together and promoting school spirit.
