.....anyway, when the anime first aired, i watched ep 1, and promptly dropped it, thinking, "huh, an uninspired 1-to-1 adaptation of the game, just with jankier CG... pass."

WRONG... MAJOR OPHELIA L....

yoko taro i'm so sorry for ever doubting you. i absolutely cannot recommend the anime as anyone's first intro to NieR: Automata, but as fully supplemental material that not only adds to the game, but solidly improves upon it, ohhhh boy. ohhh boy. two cakes indeed. had me n swan screaming, crying, throwing up, falling down the stairs, the whole nine yards.

this man somehow dumped a bottle of lesbian timeloop despair into this quote unquote "het" couple and i've never been the same. a tiny he/him masc and the clinically depressed amazon who keeps killing him over and over.... ohhhhhhh, i'm sure. tale as old as time. absolute cinema.

anyway, that's it for now! more projects to come, but they will all likely be gigantic, and therefore will take forever, so. see y'all next year!
