"Fire season" is a thing of the past, and it's important to build wildfire resiliency all year long. Whether you live in a rural, suburban, or urban area, you can take simple steps to protect your home and business.
Zone 1 is the five-foot area surrounding a structure. Our Wildfire Partner Program Coordinator shares a few easy low- and no-cost actions you can take in this space to reduce the risk of wildfire impacts:
🔥 Move potential fuels 5+ feet away
🔥 Store propane tanks inside
🔥 Keep plants lean and green
🔥 Replace bark mulch with rock
🔥 Keep gutters free of debris
🔥 Prune up trees (1/3 of tree height)
