From breakfast in the dining car to the famous Amtrak steak dinner, this is what food is really like on one of the longest train journeys in the United States. 🇺🇸🥩

Our journey took us from New York City to Los Angeles, travelling across multiple states on a long-distance Amtrak train. Along the way we tried everything the dining car had to offer — omelets, burgers, French toast, coconut shrimp, desserts, and of course the legendary Amtrak steak that passengers talk about. We have been told to try the Amtrak steak dinner. We Tried an American Steakhouse for the worlds Best steak on the move. Dining on Amtrak is communal, which means passengers share tables and meet new people every meal. With 45 hours on board the Southwest Chief route, we had time to explore the full menu and experience what train travel food is really like. Unlike Prime Rib at Lawrys steakhouse — a well-known steakhouse brands in the United States — we try Amtrak food and their impressive meat to see if their steakhouse meal is better than prime rib. and can it beat peter lugers Steakhouse, Ruth's Chris Steak house or Fogo De Chao. Unlike traditional American institutions such as Peter Luger Steak House, where one perfectly cooked dry-aged porterhouse is the centerpiece or Fogo de Chão offers continuous tableside service of fire-roasted meats. Lawry's 'The Prime Rib' has spent 90 years perfecting the best meat and service, including tableside service for many other meats like, ribeye to filet, lamb, and filet steak.

Amtrak southwest chief route is a 45 hour train ride across America from Chicago to Los Angeles.
