Описание: With his October 1960 recording of “My Favorite Things,” John Coltrane wove a world of hypnotic and visceral expressionism. This version “dances on many shores,” to paraphrase Charles Lloyd, drawing inspiration from African and Middle Eastern rhythmic and melodic strains; though hardly imitative, the taproot is undoubtedly Trane. Recorded Live at Pier Place in Point Arena (April 25, 2025), and featuring insightful and sensitive performances by Lincoln Andrews (bass) and Gabriel Yañez (percussion).
