Описание: #Coonoor Town is the place where it has market place which serves to people for centuries. The altitude of Coonoor place is about 1890 Meter above m.s.l. The seasons are winter from mid November to March. citizens and visitors use thick wollen garments and blankets and for rest of the season light woollen clothing is used. Nearest airport is Coimbatore and you can reach within two hours by vehicles and car and van taxi service is also available with experience drivers.


The municipality is also about 150 years old started by Britishers. Water is not contaminated and used for human consumption.

Coonoor has got all transport facility with buses, taxies, train etc. The NMR toy train is a Heritage status one.

The entire surrounding places are are with tea plantation. The highly grown tea leaves and the tea produced is a best grade among world teas.

Come once and enjoy the place as more seasonal guest houses, hotels have come up with different tarriff suiting all categories of visitors.

The famous botanical garden and Pasteur Institute is also in Coonoor.

Agricultural produces like tea, potatoe, other English and continental vegitables are grown here.
