Ingredients..
3/4 th kg, 750 grams cut Aubergine / Kathrikkai / Baingan / Vaangi.
2 tablespoon of til oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds / rai / kadugu in tamil.
1teaspoon urad daal
1 teaspoon hing / asafoetida / perungayam in tamil.
one lemon size tamarind soaked in hot water and then the tamarind pulp extracted.
1 table spoon jaggery / gud / vellam in tamil.
3 strings of curry leaves.
Add salt to taste.
2 cups of water.
Take the help of the masher to mash well after the whole thing is cooked.
