Manitoba Hydro’s High Voltage Test Facility (HVTF) performs all test services. The state-of-the-art test facility is located in Winnipeg, Canada.
The main test hall is 41 metres (135 ft.) x 38 m (125 ft.), with a 19-metre (62 ft.) clearance between floor and bridge crane. The engineered electromagnetic shielding of the main test hall allows partial discharge measurements down to 2 pC. There is rail access into the main test hall that can be divided into 2 test bays, enabling different tests to take place simultaneously.
