DAY 1 – Arrival & Funchal Old Town

Our journey begins at 3 AM, taking a bus from Braga to Porto Airport for a 6 AM flight.
After a 1 hour 40 minute flight, we arrive in Madeira and rent a car — the best way to explore the island.

We first visit Mercado dos Lavradores, exploring fish, fruits, and the special Madeiran produce found nowhere else.
Then we walk along Santa Maria Street, famous for its colorful door murals.
We try the traditional drink Poncha, walk by the seaside, and visit Forte de São Tiago before ending the first day.

DAY 2 – Beaches, Viewpoints & Traditional Dance

Start the day at Praia Formosa, one of Madeira’s largest beaches.
Continue to Câmara de Lobos, a fishing village loved by Winston Churchill.
Next stops include Igreja Matriz de São Sebastião, the breathtaking viewpoint of Cabo Girão, and the quiet coastal spot Fajã dos Padres.

Dinner is at O Lagar, with traditional Madeiran dance performances.
End the night at Casino da Madeira.

DAY 3 – Monte & Toboggan Ride

Visit Nossa Senhora do Monte, a beautiful church high above Funchal.
Then experience the famous Carreiros do Monte Toboggan Ride, one of Madeira’s top highlights.
Next, we drive to Eira do Serrado, with an incredible view over Curral das Freiras.
Dinner at Talho do Caniço, a unique local place where everyone stands while eating.

DAY 4 – Miradouro, Mills & Triangle Houses

Breakfast at The Pub (cheaper than many tourist restaurants).
Visit Norte Mills Distillery, then stop by Miradouro do Guindaste, known for dramatic cliff views.

Continue to see the iconic Madeiran traditional triangle houses in Santana.
At night, join the São Martinhos Festival at the church — full of music, food, and local celebration.
Dinner again at The Pub.

DAY 5 – Sea Lunch & Cristiano Ronaldo Museum

Lunch at Gruta, a restaurant by the sea, right in front of the Cristiano Ronaldo Museum.
After lunch, visit the CR7 Museum, then walk along the coastal promenade.
Before returning the rental car the next morning, wash the car so it can be returned clean.

DAY 6 – Departure

Return the rental car and head to the airport for the flight back to Porto.
A memorable 6-day adventure full of culture, food, scenery, and local traditions.
