In todays adventure, my friend Jose and I set out to hike to the highest point in Colorado, Mt Elbert at an elevation of 14, 440 feet. After an aborted attempt in 2020 due to an early snowfall, we arrived at the trailhead well equipped and ready for the challenges ahead. Through perseverance, grit, and sheer determination I was able to reach the summit that long eluded me. This was high point #27 in my quest to reach all 50 state highpoints.
