I spent a cold night solo camping on a small river island.
I reached the island by boat, set up camp, and cooked a fresh pike over the fire.
It was around -2°C outside, but inside the tent it was warm and quiet.
I made myself comfortable, watched Home Alone on a small projector, and enjoyed the calm of the river.
I also tried to create a natural warm bath using heated stones from the river, but the stones didn’t get hot enough and the water stayed cold.
Sometimes things don’t go as planned — and that’s part of being outdoors.
No talking, just nature, fire, and a quiet solo night.
