To clear up a common confusion, this song became an international hit and seeped into the global pop culture landscape in 1993 when it appeared on the opening credits of the film Benny and Joon. However the song was first released as a single in August 1988 where it peaked at #11 in the UK. This appearance is from March 21, 1989 when the twins toured the US to support their Sept 1988 album 'Sunshine on Leith'.
There are a lot of comments about where they are now. As of 2023 they have released 12 albums and continue to tour worldwide with a fantastic and tight live band.
