📘 Hyperconjugation | General Organic Chemistry GOC
📍 Surya Sir Chemistry
Hyperconjugation is an important electronic effect in organic chemistry that explains the stability of alkenes, carbocations and free radicals.
It is also known as “No Bond Resonance”.
In hyperconjugation, the σ C–Hbond of an α-carbon interacts with an adjacent empty p-orbital or π-system, causing electron delocalization.
This delocalization increases the overall stability of the molecule.
🔹 Why Hyperconjugation is Important?
• Explains stability order of carbocations
• Explains alkene stability
• Helps in understanding GOC concepts clearly
• Extremely important for Boards | NEET | JEE
📌 In this lecture you will learn:
✔ Concept of hyperconjugation
✔ No bond resonance
✔ Stability of carbocation
✔ Alkene stability with examples
✔ Board & entrance oriented questions
👉 This lecture is a must-watch to strengthen your GOC basics.
