On 6 February 1961 Cyprus joined the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). One year later, the Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO was founded, for the purpose of associating governmental and non-governmental bodies in education, sciences, culture and communication with the work of the Organization. On the occasion of its 60th Anniversary, the Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO produced a short film that presents UNESCO’s mission and the role of the Cyprus National Commission in the promotion of its objectives.
