Lin Feng never thought much of the metal bracelet he bought from a street stall for fifty yuan.
It couldn’t unlock doors, didn’t measure heart rate, and its only strange trait was that after being sanded for three days, it didn’t even show a scratch.
Everything changed on a stormy night, when the bracelet suddenly grew hot and dragged him into a vivid, unsettling dream.
In the dream lay a ruined battlefield. Broken alloy pipes leaked faint blue coolant, shattered robots clutched grenade-sized energy cores, and above them floated countless fragments of warships. The largest wreck hung in space like a tilted mountain, its scorched hull still glowing.
As Lin Feng walked forward over crystal shards that crunched like glass, he realized he was standing on a technological city larger than three modern metropolises combined. Twisted metal doors marked collapsed research facilities, frozen biological specimens filled shattered incubation pods, and on a flickering control screen in the central command room, alien text slowly faded away.
Beyond the ruined city walls, two very different planets hung in the darkness—one wrapped in a lush green atmosphere, the other torn apart like a bitten apple, half its crust missing.
When he woke up, a new line of text had appeared on the inside of the bracelet, written in words humans could understand:
“Coordinates synchronized.”
Looking out at the still-bustling city beyond his window, Lin Feng felt a chill run through his body.
He didn’t know whether the dream was the bracelet’s memory or a warning.
But he knew one thing for certain—the so-called junk he picked up from a street stall was pulling him into a vortex far beyond imagination.
