Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday hit out at Congress over the shirtless protest by Indian Youth Congress workers at the India AI Impact Summit, calling it “dirty and naked politics” that embarrassed India before foreign guests. Speaking at a public gathering in Meerut after flagging off the Delhi–Meerut Namo Bharat Rapid Rail link and inaugurating the Meerut Metro, Modi said the AI summit was a national achievement and mocked Congress with the remark that the party was “already naked.” The protest at Bharat Mandapam involved Youth Congress workers removing shirts and displaying anti-government messages, after which Delhi Police arrested four accused.
