Finally! Open Color IO & ACES and Photoshop 2025 (v.26.0 Update October 2024)

In September 2024 Adobe has released a Beta Version of Photoshop, that incorporates a native Open Color IO Workflow. ACES and Photoshop Compositing is now as easy and proper color managed as in After Effects, but it works a little bit different. Therefore i will show you how to convert an Aces CG Render (V-Ray for Maya) to an 8-bit sRGB image with the new "OpenColorIO and tools with 32-bit mode" features. The converted image matches EXACTLY the Framebuffer appearance of the ACES 1.0 SDR Video view transform, in your Render View.

The Photoshop Update October 2024 (Version 26.0 – aka Photoshop 2025) ships with the new OCIO Color Management tools!
