This isn't a "real" video (I'm working on a BL one and a Dair one) as in I didn't do much editing, but this episode just made me so mad that I had to make it. For those of you who don't watch anymore, it was basically a destruction of their memory. Julian turned Lucas' book Ravens into a tv show, but Brooke's the star. He then INSERTED himself as a character, into her high school life. He's the one who makes the 'winning shot' like Lucas did. Brooke tells him high school would've been so much better if he were around. The implication was that Brooke would've dated Julian and blah blah.

I thought it was stupid on every level tbh. Lucas had more of an impact on Brooke than anyone else ever did. She was an amazing girl hidden behind an array of flaws and he's the one who saw past those flaws. He saw the qualities in her that are now obvious to everyone when they weren't that obvious. And because of that, he was instrumental in making her who she is today. To ignore that is offensive to her character.

And also, throughout the episode, they acted like Brooke was miserable in high school. The focus of the ep was on her parents and how bad they were, but what they failed to mention is that Brooke didn't just become this great person on her own. Her parents caused plenty of damage that was undone when Lucas came along and told her the things her parents should have. But of course none of that was shown. Instead they acted like she was this lost, broken girl in high school and it's not true. Sure it was hard not having her parents around, but like she said in this video, she wasn't alone. She had good things in her life and she chose to focus on them.

I hate everything they turned Brooke into in the later seasons and this is just basically my video to show Lucas' impact on Brooke's life since the show acts like BL was irrelevant. And let's be real, who knows if Julian would've even liked Brooke (and vice versa) in hs. He was a mathlete and she was a "slut" according to him. So yeah... the girl he loves today was shaped largely by Lucas and trying to change that is stupid.

Sorry for the hugeee rant. I haven't made a BL vid in like 9 months! But I still love them and they are my otp.
